Matthew 5:23-24So when you are offering your gift at the altar, if you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift.

Following God doesn’t exclude us from quarrelling with one another.  But as brothers and sisters united under God, we are asked to live in reconciling community with each other.  We are to be forgiving people.

Forgiving God, help us to be kinder and gentler to one another.  Help us to forgive each other as you forgive us.  Amen.
