Sixth Sunday of Epiphany 2017 – 1 Corinthians 3:1-2

1 Corinthians 3:1-2And so, brothers and sisters, I could not speak to you as spiritual people, but rather as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ.  I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for solid food. Even now you are still not ready.

My dog had surgery earlier this week.  While he is healing, his dog food has to be soaked in warm water then turned into mush with a potato masher.  His healing is a process that takes place with improvement over time.  I like to think of our faith journey in a similar way.

Gracious God, we come to you with imperfect faith, but it is faith nonetheless.  Deepen our understanding of your will so we can become the people you want us to be.  Amen.
