Proper 19 (24) 2016 – 1 Timothy 1:12-14

1 Timothy 1:12-14I am grateful to Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because he judged me faithful and appointed me to his service, even though I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a man of violence. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

It took God’s eyes to see the Apostle Paul hidden inside Saul of Tarsus.  We should look carefully at one another and know that poor appearances and negative attitudes don’t necessarily define the child of God next to you.

God of abundance grace, help us to see the world as you see it.  Amen.
