Colossians 1:7-8You learned about God’s grace from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant. He is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf, and he has made known to us your love in the Spirit.

When I pray for someone, I typically ask God to intervene in some way, like bringing peace to someone’s upended life or healing to one who is ill.  The first chapter of Colossians reminds us to offer prayers of thanksgiving for one another and to tell others about the wonderful acts of faith we witness in each other.

Almighty God, bless all the people whose faith shines light in our lives.  Amen.
