Trinity Sunday 2016 – Psalm 8:3-4

Monday, May 16, 2016

Wonderful images of God’s love and creative genius fill our lectionary selections for this upcoming Trinity Sunday.  Those scriptures include: Proverbs 8:1-4, 22-31 and Psalm 8Romans 5:1-5 and John 16:12-15.

Psalm 8:3-4When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have established; what are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them?

Like a potter molding clay, the psalmist speaks of God’s fingers forming all creation.  It reminds us how intimately God is connected to us.

Creator God, continue to mold us into the people you want us to be.  Amen.
