Second Sunday of Easter 2016 – John 20:30-31

John 20:30-31Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book.  But these are written so that you may come to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life in his name.

In John 21:25, this Gospel ends with a similar note, stating that Jesus did so many things that the world “could not contain the books that would be written.”  Think for a moment about the acts of mercy, love and charity you perform in your life as well as those you see performed around you.

Almighty God, bless our efforts to spread your love to our neighbors.  May all of these acts magnify your name.  Amen.
