Fourth Sunday after Epiphany 2016 – Jeremiah 1:4-5

Monday, January 25, 2016

God appoints Jeremiah, the people of Nazareth want to throw Jesus off a cliff, and we consider Paul’s “Love Chapter” this week.  Those selections include: Jeremiah 1:4-10, Psalm 71:1-6, 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, and Luke 4:21-30.

Jeremiah 1:4-5Now the word of the LORD came to me saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

We begin this week with scriptural affirmation that God has always been with us and that we can count on that presence forever.

Creator God, open our hearts, tune our ears and sharpen our vision so that we can sense your presence in our lives today and every day.  Amen.
