Third Sunday after Epiphany 2016 – Luke 4:14-15

Luke 4:14-15Then Jesus, filled with the power of the Spirit, returned to Galilee, and a report about him spread through all the surrounding country.  He began to teach in their synagogues and was praised by everyone.

In the verses preceding these, Jesus has been tempted by the devil for forty days during which time he had not eaten.  I am moved that after Jesus went through this dark time, he immediately gets back to his work of teaching others about God.

Loving God, help us to keep you at the center of our lives, especially during our most difficult times.  Amen.
