1 John 4:7 – Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke of the day when we would live in the beloved community. In Colossians 3:14 love is described as “the harmony which binds all.” As people of faith, I believe we are asked to act in ways that move us toward the realization of this dream of the beloved community.

Prayer: Loving God, help us as we work in numerous ways to create a beloved community at home and in the world.  Amen.
