First Sunday of Epiphany 2016 – Psalm 29:2-3

Tuesday, January 5, 2015

Psalm 29:2-3Ascribe to the LORD the glory of his name; worship the LORD in holy splendor.  The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD, over mighty waters.

As I write this, the flood waters to the north and northwest of us approach our city on the banks of the Mississippi.  As our churning river begins to roil even more, it is easy to see how powerful God was in the eyes of the psalmist.

All powerful and ever-present God, help us to understand the profound impact you have on our daily lives.  Amen.
