Second Sunday of Advent 2015 – Luke 3:3-4

Wednesday, December 2, 2015

Luke 3:3-4 – He went into all the region around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, as it is written in the book of the words of the prophet Isaiah, “The voice of one crying out in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.’”

I find it helpful to think of us as God’s hands and feet on earth.  For those of us who are Christian, Jesus provides us the example of how God wants us to live together, caring for everyone, especially those least among us.

Loving God, help us to be more empathetic with each person we meet today.  Amen.
