Proper 22/Ordinary 27 2015 – Psalm 26:1

Monday, September 28, 2015

A rich collection of scriptures are offered for our consideration this week.  Remaining faithful to God during times of hardship is a major theme of the scriptures.  We are also reminded of how precious children are to God.  Passages include: Job 1:1, 2:1-10 and Psalm 26, Genesis 2:18-24 and Psalm 8, Hebrews 1:1-4, 2:5-12, and Mark 10:2-16.

Psalm 26:1 – Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the LORD without wavering.

I don’t know about you, but trusting the Lord without wavering has been a challenge in my life from time to time.  But even though I have pressed the pause button on my conversation with God at times in my life, I have always returned finding the ongoing connection to God healing.

Almighty God, give us the courage to trust you even when it is hard to sense your presence in our lives.  Amen.
