Proper 21/Ordinary 26 2015 – James 5:15-16

James 5:15-16The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven.  Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.

As people of faith, we are to be advocates for one another.  We are to live together in ways that allow us to unburden our souls to one another and to accept the prayers offered on our behalf.

Loving God, help us to be faithful, healing presences to one another.  Amen.
