James 3:5-6So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great exploits. How great a forest is set ablaze by a small fire!  And the tongue is a fire. The tongue is placed among our members as a world of iniquity; it stains the whole body, sets on fire the cycle of nature, and is itself set on fire by hell.

When we speak, the words we choose are important, but spoken words are delivered with facial expressions or in contexts that can offer subtle meaning.  So much communication today is delivered electronically without those hints, that our chosen words are even more important.

Forgiving God, as your children, help us to always show our love and respect toward one another.  Amen.
