Proper 17/Ordinary 22 2015 – Mark 7:7-8

Mark 7:7-8 – “’…in vain do they worship me, teaching human precepts as doctrines.’  You abandon the commandment of God and hold to human tradition.”

Jesus instructs us on God’s commandment, and it is echoed in Paul’s words: ‘Love God, and love your neighbor as yourself.’  It is that simple, and it is that hard.

Gracious God, help us to be more loving and forgiving toward one another.  Amen.
