Seventh Sunday of Easter 2015 – Psalm 1:1-2

Monday, May 11, 2015

With the approaching seventh Sunday of Easter, we are at the end of the Easter season.  We have the following scriptures to consider this week: Acts 1:15-17, 21-26, Psalm 1, 1 John 5:9-13, and John 17:6-19.

Psalm 1:1-2Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, or sit in the seat of scoffers; but their delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law they meditate day and night.

People try to influence us nearly every minute of each day.  We begin our week considering these verses which remind us to minimize the bad influence others can have on us.

Gracious God, help us to keep you in the forefront of our minds throughout this day.  Amen.
