1 John 3:16-17We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us–and we ought to lay down our lives for one another.  How does God’s love abide in anyone who has the world’s goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help?

Helping is complicated for sure.  What represents true help for someone and what is simply enabling further destructive behavior is separated by a razor-thin line in many cases.  Yet as people of faith, we are called to help one another…to walk that difficult line as best we can.

Understanding God, help us to be helpful to one another in ways that always bring healing.  Amen.
