Baptism of the Lord 2014 – Mark 1:6-7

Mark 1:6-7 – Now John was clothed with camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey.  He proclaimed, “The one who is more powerful than I is coming after me; I am not worthy to stoop down and untie the thong of his sandals.”

“Ya think!?”  That’s the sort of comment I would make if someone looking like John came up to me and said that.  We are reminded this morning that we should always strive to see the face of God in everyone we meet.

Gracious God, help me to remember that the unlikely is always possible with you.  Amen.
