New Year’s Week, 2014 – Matthew 25:35-36

Monday, December 29, 2014

2014 is almost in our rear view mirror.  I hope that as you look back on this past year, you are able to count many blessings.  The readings suggested for New Year’s Day include: Ecclesiastes 3:1-13, Psalm 8, Revelation 21:1-6a, and Matthew 25:31-46.

Matthew 25:35-36“…for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’”

As people of faith, we are called to help one another.  May we find new ways to serve one another throughout the new year.

Loving God, life is full of choices for us.  Help us to be the caring people you want us to be.  Amen.
