Christmas Week 2014 – John 1:14

Wednesday, December 24, 2014

The third set of readings includes: Isaiah 52:7-10, Psalm 98, Hebrews 1:1-4, (5-12), and John 1:1-14.

John 1:14And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth.

If your house is like mine, it is filled with wrapping paper, lights, tinsel, and the smell of fresh baked cookies with only a slight hint remaining of the one batch kept in the oven too long.  All of this is in celebration of God choosing to be revealed through Jesus.

God of the impossible, thank you for all of the ways you communicate with us, but for today, especially thank you for the gift of your son, Jesus.  Amen.
