Proper 28/Ordinary 33, 2014 – Psalm 90:10, 12

Psalm 90:10, 12The days of our life are seventy years, or perhaps eighty, if we are strong; even then their span is only toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away…So teach us to count our days that we may gain a wise heart.

“I’ll see you tomorrow,” I said as I left my office yesterday.  It is easy to take time for granted, but we are reminded today that each day we have is a precious gift from God.

Everlasting God, we thank you both for this day and for all the people who will share the day with us.  Amen.
