Philippians 3:13-14Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,  I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.

Paul often uses the imagery of a race to describe his life with Christ, and this passage is similar.  The walk of faith is a long walk that is not always easy, but it is always worth the effort.

God of Grace, help us to forgive ourselves so that we can always be moving toward a closer relationship with you.  Amen.
