Seventh Sunday in Easter 2014 – Psalm 68:5-6

Thursday, May 29, 2014

Psalm 68:5-6Father of orphans and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation. God gives the desolate a home to live in; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious live in a parched land.

The Psalm praises God for caring for those less fortunate than we are. We honor God through our work to help those among us who struggle to help themselves effectively.

Loving God, bless our collective efforts to minister to your children who need the help we offer in your name. Amen.
