Seventh Sunday of Easter 2014 – John 17:10-11

John 17:10-11 – All mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I have been glorified in them. And now I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one, as we are one.

I was moved by this prayer Jesus offered to God. I believe Jesus still wants us to be one. This remains an appropriate prayer for us today.

Almighty God, help us to blend our voices into a beautiful choir that honors our individual abilities while still creating a beautiful song. Amen.
