Third Sunday of Easter 2014 – Psalm 116:1-2

Monday, April 28, 2014

The lectionary readings for the third Sunday of this Easter season offer us the following passages: Acts 2:14a, 36-41; Psalm 116:1-4, 12-19; 1 Peter 1:17-23; Luke 24:13-35.

Psalm 116:1-2 – I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my supplications. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.

The Psalmist rejoices that God has both heard and answered his prayers. Today, look for all the ways that God has answered your prayers.

Gracious God, thank you for revealing to us the many ways that you have answered our prayers. Amen.
