A Day in the Life of Jesus – Mark 1:23-26

Mark 1:23-26Just then there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.” But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.

Jesus spoke, and the man was healed. This passage reminds us that words can be healing for others. We can have hearts for healing and be effective witnesses even if we don’t have degrees in healing.

Loving God, may the words of our mouths provide genuine witness to your work in our lives. Amen.
