Matthew 5:14-16You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under a bushel basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

Certainly this is one of the most beloved passages in the Bible. Throughout the week, we have been reminded of how, as people of faith, we should care for one another. Through our care for one another, our light shines. Consider the beacon we create for others when we all work together.

Prayer: Everlasting God, bless our individual acts of mercy and healing. May the flicker of our own lights combine in ways that bathe others in your light. Amen.
