Daily Devotion from the Church Health Center – Luke 12:32-34

Friday, August 9, 2013 – Proper 14/Ordinary 19, Year C

Luke 12:32-34“Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions, and give alms. Make purses for yourselves that do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Yesterday we were reminded to be instillers of hope to those around us. Today, we are reminded that we should not lose hope ourselves. God remains steadfast, and we should place our trust in God moving boldly into our future as people of faith.

Prayer: Steadfast and loving God, give us strength and courage to place our full trust in you. Amen.
