Daily Devotion from the Church Health Center – Colossians 3:9-11

Friday, August 2, 2013 – Proper 13/Ordinary 18, Year C

Colossians 3:9-11Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have stripped off the old self with its practices and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator. In that renewal there is no longer Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all!

Our faith transforms us in different ways, but that very faith draws us together, too. Faith connects us to one another, but is also connects to both our ancestors and to those who will come after us.

Prayer: Everlasting God, help us live lives that always speak to our faith in you. Amen.
