Daily Devotion from the Church Health Center – Galatians 1:22-24

Thursday, June 6, 2013 – Proper 5/Ordinary 10, Year C

Galatians 1:22-24…and I was still unknown by sight to the churches of Judea that are in Christ; they only heard it said, “The one who formerly was persecuting us is now proclaiming the faith he once tried to destroy.” And they glorified God because of me.

Paul is such a wonderful story of God’s redemptive power. If a great persecutor of our faith can become the one who provides much of our theological understanding of that faith, imagine how that redemptive power can work in each of us.

Prayer: Steadfast and understanding God, turn our shortcomings into strengths so that we can be utilized to make your kingdom better. Amen.
