Daily Devotion from the Church Health Center – Philippians 3:13-14

Friday, March 15, 2013 – Fifth Sunday of Lent, Year C

Philippians 3:13-14 – Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.

Forget what lies behind you. What a powerfully freeing line! Live as the forgiven person you are. Live knowing that your God of endless possibilities is not limited by your past so you aren’t either.

Prayer: Gracious God, we have erected barriers limiting our ability to follow your lead. Help us remove them. Amen.
