Daily Devotion from the Church Health Center – Mark 4:30-32

Friday, June 15, 2012 – Proper 6/Ordinary 11, Year B

Mark 4:30-32Jesus also said, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it?  It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up to become the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.”

From where does our hope come?  When our faith is only that of a mustard seed, God can still do extraordinary things through us.

Prayer: Loving God, our faith in you waxes and wanes, but you are steadfast in your love for us.  Thank you for using us all those times we are less than 100%.  AMEN.
