Daily Devotion from the Church Health Center – Isaiah 55:6-7

Tuesday, February 26, 2013 – Third Sunday of Lent

Isaiah 55:6-7 – Seek the LORD while he may be found, call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake their ways, and the unrighteous their thoughts; let them return to the LORD, that he may have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Forgiveness can be difficult, and yet offering and receiving forgiveness can be an important step in one’s journey toward healing. While forgiveness is hard for us, this passage assures us that God not only forgives but does so abundantly.

Prayer: Steadfast God, bless our efforts to do your will. Forgive the many times we fall short. Amen.
