John 1:6-8

From John 1:6-8 – There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.  He came as a witness to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him.  He himself was not the light, but he came to testify to the light.

I love the imagery of light.  Jesus said that we are the light of the world and that we should live our lives in a way that provides a beacon to God for others.  Throughout this day, consider how your life shines light so that others may see.

Prayer:

Understanding God, you ask us to be living examples of our faith in you.  For all those times we fall short of the mark, we thank you for your grace and forgiveness.  AMEN.
